Cynical Bystander

I am a guy who spends most of his day time sitting in front of the computer, playing pool, and eating. I like sitting in a corner and watching how the world goes by. But I enjoy not being part of the action, but at some level I need to play some role. I guess by writing about what I observe, I will play my role.- an important one, nonetheless. Just imagine, who would have heard of Rama, had Valmiki not written Ramayana. Hence me==Valmiki, and the world == Rama

Designer vs. Implementer

I have always had this issue in my mind- who is more important- a designer or an implementer. The question that needs to be asnwered is this? - are the ideas more important, or the actual implementation.

I have seen both sides of the coin. I have seen people who are full of ideas, which on the first hearing sound fantastic, but if you put a bit more thought in it, ask them some questions and they flounder. On the other hand, i have seen really great plans being wasted, because the guys doing it messed it up.

The thing is that some ideas are worth not even a paise, but some others are really ground-breaking. The issue is that to actually break that ground one requires some real tough guys who can go and put some hard work on it- the implementers.

I guess on one level, this opinion of mine might have stemmed from the fact that i have seen far too less ideas getting implemented properly. Have you seen any better?

Time to let go ...

I have always wondered, if i could write, if i wanted to write, if i knew how to write. I read a decent amount of books, on a varied range of topics. some of them are so much full of crap, that i cant even go beyond the first few chapters. I wonder, authors like them can make money by dishing out such stuff, probably i could do it for free.

Hence, stay tuned for my thoughts!!
