Cynical Bystander

I am a guy who spends most of his day time sitting in front of the computer, playing pool, and eating. I like sitting in a corner and watching how the world goes by. But I enjoy not being part of the action, but at some level I need to play some role. I guess by writing about what I observe, I will play my role.- an important one, nonetheless. Just imagine, who would have heard of Rama, had Valmiki not written Ramayana. Hence me==Valmiki, and the world == Rama

A new year ... beckons

Well, isn't it too late - you may ask?
Hmm ... not really. well to begin with,
  • we are still in the first month of the year.
  • I just started tearing the pages on our new a page a day calendar.
  • I got time to write this just now

Happy?

Plus of course, a fellow blogger's post just made me realize that I havent written anything in the new year.

2006 was an average year, with me settling down in my new roles as husband at home. Its really strange how comfortable I have become with that word. I actually like being called Gunjan's husband, there you go my first confession.

Work wise, its been not too bad - with couple of trips to Seattle - though long separation from the wife, and home. At the end, I am glad that I got those opportunities - to learn and experience new things.

We moved into our new house, we spent so much time settling down, buying stuff to fill up our little place - [its not completely done yet]. I actually enjoyed the small arguments whether we should buy red runners or bamboo ones - no prizes on guessing who won?

So whats in store for the new year, I wonder?

.. and I really think that this is going to be THE year.. if you know what I mean. many exciting happenings, new friendships and bondings, new things, changes all around, something that I am really looking forward to.

So here's a toast -- Hope that this year brings all the lovely and good things to everyone.

"May we all live in exciting times" -- Amen!!
